hello again!!

Hi all. It has been a really long time since I blogged.
I have been creating still, just not blogging it. There has not been a whole lot going on. My husband is working the never ending 13 hour shifts 7 days a week. poor guy. he has to cover for a lame sicko that called in sick for the next 8 weeks. I don't get it, but that is a whole different issue. We have lost 2 more friends since I last posted. A 34 year old mother of 1 died of breast cancer, and 41 year old friend of ours with 3 young children died of a brain aneurysm.
We also had to put our beloved dog Cedric to sleep. That just breaks my heart, still. it has been 32 days now, and i still miss him so bad.

We have 2 new members in our family now. Maxwell and Sulley. Max is the black one and Sulley is the one with spots. They are catahoula Leopard dogs. We found them from a rescue shelter in York NE. We are having so much fun with them. We have had them for about 10 days, and they are learning very quickly.

These are the best!! I found a site called Pink Petticoat
they have some really cute digital stamps. There were 6 different images, then the same 6 with a sentiment. I bought 4 different sets. go check them out. Once I paid they came within 2 minutes.

It has been a strange and weird week .
A friend of ours was killed by a train. He worked for the UP railroad and stepped off his train. He was instantly killed by an oncoming train on the next track. He was 41 and had a wife and 2 daughters.
Our Dog Ceddy was apparently bit, by something last night. He went out and when he came back in he was all bloody and a bunch of fur missing. I wont post the pic. I will spare ya. Dave took him to the vet this morning and they had to shave his back by his tail where it happened. He looks pretty goofy. He is now on steroids and drinking like crazy!
My Internet has been out a lot this week. It comes back then off again. It has been pretty steady the last day and a half though so that is good.

My challenge tag came from my good Friend Jacquie! It is to go tho the 6th folder in your pic file and share the 6th pic in that folder. well here is mine. It is my children, Taylor and Brad at age 3and 4. This was taken by the picture people it is one of my favorite portraits of them.

I am not a drinker, I don't even know what a martini is made of. I do think this bella is super cute though!! lol
She is colored with copic markers and I used BG papers. I have to apologize, I can't remember where the sketch came from.
I have been working on some layouts lately, I will be posting some of them this week. I have been getting pics made that are not just 4x6 and am scrapping them. I have 3 to share with you this week.
Also on another note, my counter quit working, I noticed a lot of others counters not working also. I signed up for a new one and am starting over with my count. have a great night!

How is your Saturday going? We went to see the movie Paul Blardt Mall Cop today. It was pretty funny! The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Other than that we just kinda hung out the rest of the day. Dave is off tonight so it is nice to get to spend some time with him.

Hi and happy Friday!! I am at work today, so this has to be quick. I am feeling so much better! Finally back to work after being off since the 5th.

Digi Downloads-my new love

OMGosh! Have you ever tried a digi download stamp? Thanks to some of my Bella friends I found some cool sites with some cute stamps. All That Scraps, and Squigglefly were where I purchased some today. If anyone knows of any more places to get these, Please Please let me know!

This first one reminds me of my mom. It looks like something she would like. I colored it in with her in mind.

The next one is Heidi. She is such a cutie, ignoring the fact that my colors don't really match the paper, I think it is really cute. The sketch is from Jen's site I heart to stamp.

On another note, I am feeling quite a bit better now. The doc wants me to stay home for one more day, but I have been gone since last wed. I am not too sure what I will do yet. Last time i had pneumonia it hung on for a few months, so I don't want to push it, but at the same time i am feeling better. hmmm who knows, I will decide in the morning!

Hello all, how are you doing? I am bumming tonight. Dave started at a new position at his job tonight. It is a shift that we don't get to see him very much. He figured it to be about 5 hours a week that we will get to see him. I am already missing him tonight!

I finally went to the Dr. today, I have walking pneumonia. I knew it was getting bad, but kept putting it off thinking I would get better. HA! Well at least I am on medicine and am on the mend. I actually am feeling better than this morning. My inhaler is my new best friend!

So on to my card now. I found this sketch on the Sugar Bowl site. It is quite a bit busier than I usually do, but, I like how all the papers worked together. I have a few other cards that I have made, but will share them later!

Hi I just made this card for the homepage contest on bellaholics. I made it with someone in mind and I think it fits perfectly. The papers are basic grey, from the new Valentines pack, I can't remember the name at the moment.
We have had the stomach flu go around our house a few times in the last 2 weeks. Guess who got it last night. yep ME! ugg I am finally feeling a bit better tonight, but now I am getting a cold. At least we were all healthy for Christmas and New years.
another one of my goals is to comment on the blogs I read. I love to get comments and I assume others do to so I am making that a part of my goal for this year. Have a great night everyone and I will be back Friday, with some blog candy!

I guess i had better get my butt in gear and make a post to my peeps. How was every ones holiday? Mine was great!! We spent Christmas day and New Years Eve at my parents house, playing games and eating of course. My mom makes the best potato soup. MMM it was so good, kind of a tradition to have it on New years eve.
I have also been busy with a makeover of my scrap room. My friend Amy helped me paint and organize everything. I have a few more things to do before I can show you all pics, but I love how the color turned out. It is a blueish green similar to Breeze from CTMH. Thanks to Amy for helping me get it done. If it was not for her I would not have even started yet. lol
Well my goal this year as far as scrapping goes, is to make at least 2 posts a week if not more. I also want to start sending out some of the cards I have been making. I hope to post more than that but don't want to set an unrealistic goal for myself. I have some blog candy to give away this week, so stay tuned...

Bella bash challenges

Here are my cards I did for the Bellaversary challenges. There are some great prizes being given away. $50.00 gift cards to spend at Stamping Bella!! I could blow through that pretty quickly!! So I am really hoping that 1 of the prizes comes my way.

This first one is the sketch challenge. I used flowah bella colored her with copics and used CTMH papers.

This next one is the color challenge. It was to use the bella colors, pink and light green.
I used Emmybella, and some buttons I had laying around.

Now This card I had the most fun with. It is a theme challenge to use things in groups of 2. I used 2 bella images, 2 sets of 2 bella dots, and 2 ribbons. There are also 2 patterned papers, and 2 circles. I think this one is fun!

Good morning everyone! I am at work this morning, only 3 hours
so its not too bad. Brad is having a slumber party tonight. We must be crazy huh? It will be fun. We bought him an Ipod he has been wanting. We are taking the boys to a movie so we have lots planned to keep us busy.
I just wanted to share this card i made. It is an image that Amy won from Jacquie in some blog candy. I believe it is from cats pajamas. The sketch is from TECC and the paper is all basic grey, I used some bella dots on the orange squares. It turned out kinda cute I think. As soon as this party is over I will begin my Christmas shopping, hopefully Saturday afternoon. have a great weekend all!

Time is running out

I can't believe it is Dec 3rd already. My son turns 9 on Saturday. Where does the time go??
There are only 22 days left till Christmas, I
have not even began to shop yet. I don't even know what my kids are wanting this year. Well there are a few things they would like but they are expensive items that will really add up if i get those. Anyway I guess I am rambling. The top card is a sketch from TECC. I used basic grey figgy pudding and I can't remember the stamp name. I think it is snow friends from stamping bella. The next card is also basic grey paper. The image is from a swap, she is all stickled but you can't tell in the picture.
As soon as I get off work today I am going to get birthday presents for Bradley, and maybe even begin my holiday shopping. Have a great day!

shoebox swap cards

Hello! Black Friday has come and gone, and I still have not even started my Christmas shopping. We had a great time yesterday at my mom and dads. We had a great thanksgiving dinner, lots of deserts, then we all settled in and played some games. Electronic Monopoly, then a card game we always play called penalty. Dave had to go to work at 9 so he did not get to stay long, but we did have fun.

On to my cards. This first one is Cheerabella I believe. I received this one in the shoebox swap I did, it was run by Tangii. She goes out of her way doing these swaps and things. I really am thankful for what she does. So in the shoebox swap, is an image, at least 1 6x6 paper, ribbon and embellishments. I like this one I am not sure who it came from but, good choice on the paper and embellies!
This second card is made with paper from my bella sistah Jacquie. I only have her for 1 more day, boo hoo! She has been a great sistah!!! If you play along in Jan and get her, you will not be disappointed!!
Anyway, this is daisy bittybloom, isn't she cute? I love all the bittyblooms available at stamping Bella. They are all way cute.

I managed to get my inside all decorated for Christmas, now to do the outside, maybe tomorrow. Have a great night, see you all later.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone. I hope you all had a great thanksgiving day. My thanksgiving is tomorrow. Today we went to my in-laws where they grilled out hamburgers..???... Not quite the thanksgiving I dream of but it was nice to see everyone. So tomorrow my sweet mommy is fixing another thanksgiving dinner for us. My sister and brother will also be there, and we always have a great time playing games and just laughing. I am excited to go there tomorrow.

I managed to create a few cards in the last few days. I found this paper at the expo in Kansas City a few months back. I fell in love with it because I absolutely LOVE monkeys.
I got in touch with my bella sistah, Jacquie Peifer, who happens to be a Stampin up rep, and she hooked me up with this sock monkey stamp. I actually have some blog candy coming up with some of the items I used to make this card so come back soon!!

This next card is the total opposite. It is very busy, but I like how it turned out. All the paper used is from basic grey. This sketch is one I found on Kim's site, which is actually a woj sketch. I am liking these 6x6 cards, lots of room to work with! Have a great night and enjoy the holiday weekend.

Good afternoon, I can't seem to find the time to play much right now. I made some time with my friend Friday afternoon, and I made this first card. The image is from a swap, I am not sure what it is, but would like to know because I love it. The paper is Basic Grey, and it is colored with copics.

After Amy went home, our order from stamping Bella arrived. I had to play with one of my new stamps, Francine flapper. Isn't she cute? This is also a sketch from BSC #48. This paper is from the new basic grey urban prairie collection.

I have a lot to do today so I had better go. It is my dads birthday today. happy Birthday Daddy!!
I am fixing dinner for them although they don't know that yet. lol

I also wanted to share that I finally figured out how to put a watermark text on my images. It is soo easy. I downloaded picasa 3, and it is right there as one of the choices with red eye fix, and crop, and there was a box that said add text. how easy is that! I don't really know as if I need to have that info on my pics, but if anyone else was wondering how to do it, that is how I did.

Good Monday morning! We had such a busy weekend. My baby girl turned 10 on Friday. I hate that they are growing up. My son turns 9 in a few weeks. It all happens way too fast.
I had a little free time yesterday to make a card, and this is what I came up with. I love this Bella, she just looks so cozy and warm. I want her coat on the cold winter mornings.

Hello, it was such a nice day outside today. nice and warm when I went to work this morning, but, but the time I went home it had gotten windy and chilly. We even have a chance of rain and snow tomorrow night. I thought it was appropriate to do this stamp called snow fight, by Stamping Bella. I felt it was so unfinished, then remembered the cute little snowflake brads that my friend Amy has. So I went and "borrowed" some from her and here it is!! It is basic grey paper again, and I used my off brand nesties for the circles.

Every last dime is accounted for. I bought a 4 pack of circle nesties from cut at home. They gave me a 40% off coupon for signing up for the newsletter. Thanks to Shannon for pointing me there. I only had to pay $56 for the 4 pack. That is like getting 2 sets free!
Have you seen the pinking circle nesties yet. ohhh I want those, I almost bought them but there are so many more things that I want first.

Then I received a comment from Susan who sent me to themerriartist.com wow they have copic sketch markers for $4.46. I usually pay $6. per marker. so I was happy. They even had free shipping for spending over $95.00. So that tells you a little about how crazy i went in the marker category.

Then I took advantage of the free shipping at Stamping Bella. Did you all see the bitty flower girls? they are so adorable. My friend Amy and I went a little nutso on them.
I am also going to paint and fix up my scrap room a little. Put some shelves up and decorate a little. It is part of the basement, which is Dave's sanctuary also, so I can't go nuts with the pink he said. I am going for a shabby chic look, so if you have any ideas for me, let me know please. I will have to post some pics of my room now. So there you have it, I spent like mad, and I think I saved just enough to get a new purse too. have a good one everybody!! Don't forget to vote!

Christmas cards

Yeah!! Halloween is over and that means Christmas music on the radio!! I LOVE the Christmas season. This is the best time of the year. I bought this basic grey pack called Figgy Pudding at Hobby Lobby for 50% OFF. I love it. I used it to make the Bella card. The snowman card was made with basic Grey also, but the paper is from the Fruitcake collection. This is quickly becoming my favorite paper company!!

So I received some money for my birthday. I am debating on what to get. I would like to get some of the nestabilities. I also would like some more shelves in my scrap room, or possibly some more copics. I am the most undecided person ever. i know that my mom or Amy will chime in on that statement. Dave bought me an alarm clock, that is also an ipod dock. Well I actually took it back because it was sooo bright that I could not sleep. The next one was too bright also, then the next one had a teeny tiny display that I could not see too well with out my glasses. So the fourth and final one is perfect. i do this all the time. My camera, my ipod,(I actually have had 6 diff ones before I decided on the one I kept).
I went off track a little there, the point is I can't decide what to get. What would you get with $300.00!!!???

Halloween pics

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween! We usually take our kids to great grandmas, then both sets of grandparents houses. They have never really gotten to go trick or treating. So this year, we decided to stay home and let the kids trick or treat. Dave took them and a few friends around the neighborhood and they had a ball. i stayed home and passed out candy to the kiddos. It was different than what we are used to, but we all had a good time.

Hi all, I have been so busy getting ready for our schools fall party. Plus I was working a lot last week. I have not had much time too play. I wanted to shout a big Thanks out to my bellah sistah Jacquie Peifer. I received a package in the mail today. It was from the kitchen sink. the chick stamps!!! Thank you Jacquie!!

I also received lots and lots of buttons and some copic markers from my great friend Amy Rambo. She put the buttons in a vase and put daisies on the markers so it looked like a bouquet of flowers. very cute. Thanks Amy!!

I feel the Christmas season approaching

Hi everyone, what a cold rainy day. I think it rained most of the afternoon, and it is quite chilly out there. makes me want to bake, or make some soup or something.
I made 2 cards tonight, The first one a Bella, but I am unsure of her name. I received her from a RAK on SPS. I am unsure of this card, I like it as far as the idea goes, but the ribbon is not quite right. The sketches of both cards came from an add in Paper Crafts magazine. I like how the second one turned out, I love that stamp. I think I received it from Jacquie, my Bella Sister. You know it is funny how I don't think I would have purchased this stamp, but now that I have colored it in and used it, I LOVE it!! Just reminds me to keep an open mind. Monday is here and almost gone!! yeah I usually like Monday's because I work from 9 to 11:30 but, today I worked till 5. it was a long day. Thanks to my mom for picking up my kiddos from school today!!!.

Hi all, I have been gone a while it seems. My mother is always the first to remind me that I have not posted for a while. =-)

We had a great weekend. Taylor had a slumber party fri night and I had my scrapbook group. Bradley had a friend over to play, so I think we all had a good time. Sat, we had our last soccer game of the season. Then off to another birthday party. Another slumber party for Taylor. When she finally got home today, we headed off to another bday party, for my nieces and nephews. it was at a local park we had a bonfire and played and climbed (which I will pay for tomorrow I am sure). It was just a really fun time.

Well friday I got home and there were 2 envelopes waiting for me. My bella sistah Jacquie spoiled me again. just look at the goodies I received from her. cards, a new bella to play with, papers and matching embellies, and the second book in the twilight series. I can't wait to get started on it. The last one took me about 2 days, but I was home sick and had lots of time to read. I have to work full time this week, I am not used to doing that, so I am sure I will not have time to do anything. Thanks so much Jacquie, you really made my day!!!

It is so fun to go on a trip, and always so good to be home. My friend Amy over at The Scrap addict, (who is giving away some blog candy) went with me to CKC convention in Kansas City this weekend. We had a blast! Now our opinions may differ slightly about the convention, but, in my opinion it was pretty bad. The vendors part was pretty good and they had some really good deals. We did some damage to our pocket books, unless you know our husbands, then we hardly spent anything! We actually left the crop on friday night and went back to our hotel to scrap. Then the next night, we called a local Archivers and went to their scrap mania from 5-11. It is so much more fun than the ckc. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time, but how can you not with someone that cracks you up constantly. Luv ya girl!

I did not get much done because we played and talked so much, but when I get home from work I will post 2 cards that I did. See you later tonight.

These 2 pages I did of my daughter Taylor. We were in Okoboji, IA and she wanted to make the bestest sand castle ever! She worked so hard on it and even put up a sign asking people to please not knock it down. It was so cute, and she was so persistent. She watched out the window all evening, and as soon as she would wake up to see if it were still there.

I don't usually post my scrapbook pages, but I am going to change things up a bit. This is a pageI did for a swap last Christmas. It is all CTMH the edges are all distressed, I scored the lined then sanded them in the cranberry card stock. I really like this page, and am waiting for the perfect picture to put on it. I will have to go through my pics and find one.

I have had many people ask about my dog, Ced. We had a call from the vet this morning and he said his blood work looked great. He is feeling good, we think, because he is back to his old self again. Thanks everyone for the well wishes for him. Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Latte Bella and a recipe for cookies

Ahhhh it is Monday. I actually like Mondays because I only work until noon. The kids get out of school at 1:55 on Mondays, so i picked them up and I also picked up Amy's 4 kids and they were hungry. So we made some peanut butter cookies, and some puppy chow. This recipe for the peanut butter cookies is one of the best I have ever tasted, and they are so easy. I found this in our school recipe book. It is...
1 cup of peanut butter
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
mix it all together, form into balls and flatten, then bake at 350 for about 9 minutes. Thats it. They are great!

I made this card tonight for a friend of mine. Tomorrow is her 33rd birthday.
This is one of those cards that I made and just don't like. Do you ever do that, work really hard and then it just stinks? Oh well what do ya do?? have a great night all! thanks for looking.

Good News

Well we got some real good news today. The Vet called and it looks like Ceddie has a kidney infection. The vet said he still has quality time left, we just need to get him better. his white blood cells were more than triple what they should be. So he is just really sick. He went to the hospital today, and they put him on iv antibiotics, and fluids to flush out the kidneys. He gets to come home at night then back in the morning. for three more days. Then they will draw blood again on Monday. I will tell you though, he is so much better already. My friends Kellie and Amy were over tonight and I bet if they did not know, they could not tell he was sick. He also has a way better shave on his legs than i do. hehe they shaved both of his front legs. I just wanted to share my news, I hope to report good things again tomorrow too. Have a great night!

Poor Ceddie, He has been so sick. We took him to the vet today, because he can't keep anything down. he has been moaning constantly. I feel so bad for him. He is getting so old, like 98 in human years, it is not looking good. They took some blood and will call us back tomorrow. I just don't want him to suffer and it is really tearing at my heart. It is hard to keep my eyes dry tonight, and these pics i took at the vet today make him look so pathetic.

Hi Everyone, How was your weekend? I have been in bed for most of it. I have a really sore throat and have had a fever since sat. afternoon. The Dr. gave me antibiotics today for strep. I don't know if it is my head, but I am feeling better already I think.
I made this card with the goodies I received from my Bella sistah, Jacquie. I love the cowboy Riley and the paper goes so well. I think it turned out great. What do you think of it? I love to hear your comments.

How is your weekend going? Mine is going well and just got better, thanks to my bella sister Jacquie. Brad had a soccer game this morning at 10. he scored a goal yeah Brad!!!, and we won! Then we went to lunch at our favorite place Romeos. Bradley is invited to a birthday party tomorrow, so we stopped by the mall to get a gift and I found a great deal on fragrance oil at bath and body works. $3.00 per jar that is a savings of $5.00 per jar.wow. So I am sitting here surrounded by the smell of creamy caramel. yummm.
Then as we drive up the hill to our house I can see a package in my mailbox. I fell like such a child, because I get so excited. It was from Jacquie. to make it even better, she sent a package to my daughter Taylor. Thank you so much Jacquie that was so sweet of you. She still has a smile on her face!

Friday cards

Its Friday, Yipeeee!!What a way to start the weekend. My poor dog got sooo sick last night. he woke me up at 3 am cause he wanted to go out. Well poor guy was sick. By the time I left for work at 8ish, he was so lethargic I called my mom to come sit with him because I did not think he was going to make it. He is a 15 year old lab. he has skin cancer and has lost a bunch of weight, because he is not eating much anymore. I bought him some different food yesterday to try to entice him to eat more, and the vet said that was probably the reason for it. I feel so bad!! Well by the time my mom got there Dave had went home to be with him and he was doing better. Now he acts as if nothing was ever wrong.

I was able to play a little tonight and these cards are what I came up with. The first one almost hurts my eyes to look at. It is really bright. it may not look so bad on here but in person, it is.
This card came out really nice, I think. I thought maybe the glitter on the bottom was a little much, but it is growing on me. It is from a sketch I found on Cammi's site, stamp a little love baby.
Well I think that is all for now. We have soccer in the morning, and Dave has to help coach. The real coach's appendix burst before our game last night, and was in surgery with in an hour or so. Dave stepped in last night and will fill in again tomorrow, awwww ain't he sweet!!! have a great weekend everyone! Thanks as always for looking.

I can't believe it is time to get ready for the week already. We went to see Annie at the local community theatre today. Taylor loved it, Brad not so much. As soon as it was over he said quite loudly, "finally, its over". How embarrasing, but we were with grandparents and great grandparents, they all started laughing at him. Taylor and I have been creating quite a bit. I hope you all don't care that I post her cards here also, she really likes it when I do. I took her to the Dr. yesterday, because her knee has been bothering her. It looks like she has a cyst growing in her knee and that is what is causing all the pain. She has to see an orthopedic doctor, and we will go from there. Right now she has to wear a brace on it. The smallest one they had was too big for her, so she is wearing an elbow brace on her knee.

This is BSC 10. I love these challenges, these are the only sketches I know if besides Tamara's, so if anyone can point me to another place to get some sketches I would love it!! I used CTMH stamp for the background, all paper is CTMH also. I am not sure where the flower and green "thingy" are from. I am not real fond of this card. I think it is the flower that I don't like, but I can't put my finger on it.

This is a card done with a sketch from Tamara. her sketches are so fun. This is going to be a birthday card for my father in law. It is golfing Riley, done with copics, all paper and ribbon are CTMH.

Today was a productive day for me. I had the day off today, tomorrow too. So I stayed home and did laundry all day. I managed to watch a movie and create a card today too. Here is my Bella sketch challenge #42. It is ipodabella, the paper is from ki memories. The sentiment is from CTMH. the ribbon and the flower I am not sure about. I like how it turned out, but I really would like to learn more about coloring and shading. I will have to look that up and see what I can find.

My daughter Taylor did the above card, it is from Tamera's sketches. I think she did a great job on this. She wants to have a slumber party for her 10Th birthday in Nov and wants to make these as her invitations. Let her know what you think please.

Good Monday Morning! I don't have any new artwork to share this morning. However, I wanted to share with you my new redesigned blog, thanks to Michelle at Shabby Creations . Doesn't she do a great job?!! I love how it turned out, she also has really cute Christmas designs for the holidays. go check her out.

Yesterday, I decided to make a roast. Dave is not home for dinner much with his crazy hours, so since he was home I thought it would be a nice meal to have. Well my son, is one of the pickiest kids that I have ever known. he was complaining about the smell before it even began to cook. Well it cooked all day, and I thought the house smelled wonderful. I even baked a loaf of bread, thanks Amy for your help on that. It was the perfect day with the cool weather, and the smell of bread baking, the sounds of the kids playing quietly, football in the background. you get the picture right? Well the time finally came to eat, keep in mind we have not had a nice meal together without Brad throwing a fit, in like, forever. He instantly starts in on his gagging and telling me how bad it smells, the little brat. We told him that he had to at least try it. Well he screwed up his face in the worst of ways, puts it practically up his nose to smell it, touches it with his fingers, then takes the teeny tiniest bite you can imagine. Instantly he spits it out, starts to bawl and screams out... "It tastes like Hobby Lobby!" Dave and I bust out laughing. When we finally settle down, Dave looks at me and says, very seriously, "I think you go there too much". Oh how I cherish these family dinners together!

Hello all, I did this card for a challenge on Jen Del Muro's blog. Go and check out the sketch and her blog, she has some great work on there.
I used paper from CTMH, the buttons and sentiment are both from CTMH also. The stamp is Matilda Muffinbread from Stamping Bella. I colored it with copics, and used liquid glass on the muffin top. I like how it turned out. Have a great night all.

WOOHOOO!!!!!! We did it! Brad tried on about 18 different pair of jeans, with minimal whining. The best news is we found a pair to fit! It was a long day, but so worth it. i saved the tags so I can go back and get the exact same cut if he needs more throughout the year. We scooped up 4 pair of them to hopefully avoid another day like yesterday.

This is the card I was telling you about. The one that my copic dripped on, I think I did a pretty good job fixing it with my blender pen and the stickles on the wing. I received this image from a bellaholics member. Thank you! I love this image. have a great Sunday, I don't have any plans for today, except laundry, and getting ready for the week. Saturday shopping

I usually LOVE to go shopping, however, todays trip has an agenda which includes getting jeans for my 8 year old son. UGG He hates to try on clothes, and lets everyone know about it. I have already threatened him about his behavior today as we make this lovely journey. He is such a big kid, very tall and husky. I have tried 4 pair already and none of them fit. So since I am so tired of returning things, Dave and I decided he needed to try them at the store. I hope all 4 of us make it back safely from this wonderful adventure!!

and I have not posted for a week now.
I have my scrap room in the basement, but, during the summer I move everything up into my dining room. The kids like to play out back, and this way I can scrap and keep an eye on them at the same time. So it is like the best of both worlds.

Well this week I moved everything back downstairs. I had to organize and clean and it took all week. So I haven't done any creating. I tried to create once, but after I had the whole image colored, and i started on her hair, my copic started to drip. I have never had that happen. It dripped all over the image I had just colored and ruined it. So I gave up for the night and went to bed.

I received a great package from my Bella Sister, Jacquie. I took pics but have not had a chance to post them yet. I have my scrapping group tonight so i hope to get them posted sat morning. Well i hope everyone has a great weekend. i will be back tomorrow.

Good Morning, It is Friday yea! I love Fridays because, I only work till noon. I worked on my Bella calendar last night with Amy. I had a real hard time with it. I am still not happy with how it looks either, but I am out of ideas. I have 1 more month to go and I am done. I hope to have them in the mail Monday.

BSC #35 This is Daisybella. Since the daisy is one of my favorite flowers, this is one of my favorite Bella's. I used all ctmh papers, and now that I am posting this I realize I need some bling to this card. I will have to revamp it and post a before and after later.

Hope you all had a safe and fun weekend. We went to the anniversary party for Daves grandparents. 60 years, together, what an accomplishment! Here is a picture of Taylor and Bradley at the anniversary party.

I also had a chance to do some Bella's last night too. This is Daiseybella, and Grumpybella. I used paper from the paper studio. i love this paper, there is about 5 different patterns of paper in this line. I even used it on my calendar for the bella calendar swap.

Tonight I get to see who my new Bella sister is!!!! I am so excited to see who I get!! I will post that information tomorrow.

Its been a long week,but...

I am back at it full swing! I have been working a lot of hours this week filling in for a girl at work. Dave was on second shift all week so I was on my own. It was rough, but I had some help. My Mom. Thank you Mom, i could not have done all the practices and games and get them home from school without you. Love you Mom!

So last night I got to chill, with Amy. We made bella cards and worked on the calendar swaps. I am not sharing any more of mine because the other 2 will be a surprise.

Bella Sketch Challenge 22 This first card was done with flowahbella. You know I can't wait to get a few more, seems I am always doing the same ones. lol The paper is from the paper studio, Bella is colored with copic markers, and the rub ons are from CTMH.

I like this Bella, she is rockabella I believe. The paper is again from the paper studio. brads are from CTMH. I colored with copics and used stickles on her guitar to make it pop.

This last one my Daughter, Taylor did. It is DaiseyBella, One of my favorites, as the daisy is one of my favorite flowers. Gerber daisies to be exact. The paper is all CTMH,and I even let her use my copics on this one. She thought that was pretty cool.

I LOVE this stamp, sweetiebella. My friend Amy let me stamp this one to use. We kinda have shared custody of our Bella stamps. lol

This card is done with unknown papers. I do not even remember where I bought them. sorry. The image is colored with copic markers, the flower is CTMH white colored with copics, and the Brad is CTMH also. As always I leave the sentiment blank until I find a use for the card.

This card features PMSabella. colored with copic markers. The papers are all CTMH, as is the flower and brad. the flower is colored with copics. I love those bitty brads in the lower left corner, aren't they so cute?!?

This is one of my enteries for the bella swap calendar, form the bellaholics group. It is Emmybella, she is paper pieced, with papers from the paper studio. I love this line of papers, the colors and patterns are sooo cute. Hope i did not spoil this swap for anyone. lol

Not MIA just been busy

Hello, I did not think I had any loyal followers, but apparently I do! lol I guess I had better get on the ball and update this blog and keep it updated.

School started last week. boohoo. I hate to see the kids go back to school, it means another year older and another year closer to me losing them. I actually cried yesterday after I dropped them off, and went home and was all alone. I really enjoy my kids and wish I could keep them young forever. I am not alone in feeling this way am I?

I have been pretty busy with my scrapbook group and getting the kids ready for school. Soccer started back up too, so there is not a lot of time to "play" lately. I will post a few Bellas i have been working on in a bit.

OK I got in trouble by my mom because I have not blogged since Thursday. I figured I had better catch up before I get into more trouble. (Love you Mom!) Well there really is not much to tell. Taylor is doing really well after having all those teeth pulled, she is ready to get back to normal, but still is on a soft diet and is ready to move on. She received $30.00 from the tooth fairy. She spent the last of it tonight to get a Barbie. I am afraid she takes after me with the saving abilities!

Saturday night we went to an Omaha Royals baseball game. They had fireworks after the game, the kids really enjoyed them. So did Dave and I, it was really a fun night.
This brings me to today, It was a HOT day here in Iowa, we spent most of the day in the pool. We even got daddy to come swim with us. We all had fun together.

Well thanks for reading this far. Now on to my Bella's...

This first one is a Spabella, I do not remember who the paper is by, the flower is CTMH and so is the brad. I was able to buy myself a 12 pack of Copic markers, and have been playing with the shading. I don't feel I have it down yet, but, will take some hints or criticism please.

Next is another Emmybella, she is my favorite so far of the ones I have. all the paper is CTMH and Emmy is all paper pieced. The flower I am not sure of. I really like how this turned out, Love the colors on it! by the way this is BSC #10

last but not least is tinkerbella. I love tinkerbella, and I love my new markers!! This card seems a little plain to me, but I like to wait to put my sentiment on till I know what they are being used for. this one is from bsc #17.

bsc#39 here is my card for the sketch challenge #39 papers are CTMH, as are the ric rac. I used copic markers, my first ever time with copics!! they color nicely, but I have a lot to learn ablout shading them. her pants and 1 bag are paper pieced. overall I like how she turned out!

We took the kids to portrait innovations yesterday. these are a few of the 101 pics they took. lol Man they sure do take a lot of pics. I was happy with them. We had them taken yesterday, because this morning, Taylor had to have 6 teeth pulled out. They put her to sleep to have it done. She did really well and does not have much pain, but, I have kept her on the tylenol. She is asleep on the couch right now.

We also stumbled upon a wii fit yesterday. It is so much fun! you know my abs actually hurt today from doing the hula hoop. I recomend this if you don't have it yet. It is so funny you step on it for it to weigh you and it says in a soft high voice... ohhh. Like she cant believe you weigh that much. lol
Well I think that is all for now. We are just going to take it easy tonight and tomorrow and hopefully taylor will feel up to getting out on Fri for a bit. thanks for reading this book I just wrote. have a great day!

taylor and I did the Bella sketch challenge number 9 together. I cut the paper for her but she picked it out and did all the coloring stamping and adhearing. I think she did a good job.

Mine is the one made with the Latte Bella. I used CTMH papers and ribbons. Flower stamps are also CTMH. colored with prisma pencils and gamsol.

Well it is going to be quiet around here again this weekend. Tay stayed with a friend last night, and Bradley stayed with my mom. Tonight they both have big plans to stay with people too. Dave is working so I am having another quiet night alone to create!! I have made several cards for birthdays the last few days and forgotten takes pics of them. My friend Amy came over tonight and we played Bella's! It was fun to create with someone. this first card is the one Amy did. It is bubblebella, done with all CTMH papers and ribbons. we used prisma color pencils and mineral spirits to color them. she also added frosted lace stickles to the bubbles.
This one I made, it is Emmybella, I love this one, I used all CTMH papers, prisma colors and stickles also. Embelishments are also CTMH.
